Kawad festival is a big festival of hindues in the month of shravan when people go to Haridwar to fetch gangajal onfoot/ on bikes/ cycles/ cars and travels hundreds of kilometer to offer it to Shivji on shivratri. Millions of kawad are brought and those who cant go there do sewa by organising free kitchen and rest places (shivir) for them. cleanliness is a one part that is missed and neglected by the sewa shivirs. Those who give priority to cleanliness are also there but due to lakhs of devotees the purpose is lost. Pahal volunteers did shramdaan and requested shivir sanchalaks to keep cleanliness also in their mind. Captains for today were Pranveer Singh ji and Rajeev Agarwal ji. They did a perfect planning and execution. As usual the mission end with National Anthem. At last this was a memorable day for all of us.
